Dome Light

hpim0490

MDML Series
Moritex has developed a line of dome light type LEDs. The MDML Series LEDs have been designed to evenly illuminate object surfaces by reflecting on the dome inbound light fibers arranged at 360° angles along the lower section of the dome. These dome LEDs are useful in the inspection of curved metal surfaces as well as printed surfaces (i.e. the bottom of aluminum cans). Two different size of dome LEDs are available, each in four different wavelengths: red, green, blue, and white.

Parallel Backlight

MCBP Series

Moritex has now developed Parallel Lighting LEDs for profile inspection. Moritex’s MCBP Series Parallel Backlight LEDs enable the profiles of objects to be captured with high precision. Such profiling applications were difficult with conventional lights because the light was projected from the rear.

With these LEDs, the light is projected horizontally along the package and then reflected down vertically. The MCBP series LEDs are ideal for measuring the dimensions of raised objects as well as the recognition of alignment marks on glass substrates.

Non Telecentric Macro Lenses

Photo Credits go to Luc Viatour www.lucnix.be
The ML-N series lenses were developed to be compact, high performance lenses. Based on many years of experience producing machine micro lenses, Moritex adopted a non-telecentric optical system as the lens design for this model. By limiting the number of lenses in each layer to less than three, we have succeeded to develop a high performance model at a reasonable price. Magnification and working distances can be tailored to your needs by using optional close-up rings.

The high resolution and low TV distortion of these lenses make them suitable for inspection and recognition in micro field applications such as shape recognition by a picture sensor, food labeling inspection, confirmation of defects, and security systems. We offer four models:

ML01-327N

  • Magnification: 0.1X
  • Working Distance: 327mm
  • Resolution: 33.9µm
  • Depth of Field: 37.66mm

    ML03-181N

  • Magnification: 0.3X
  • Working Distance: 181mm
  • Resolution: 14.6µm
  • Depth of Field: 5.43mm

    ML05-132N

  • Magnification: 0.5X
  • Working Distance: 132mm
  • Resolution: 11.7µm
  • Depth of Field: 1.95mm

    ML1-89N

  • Magnification: 1.0X
  • Working Distance: 89mm
  • Resolution: 7.9µm
  • Depth of Field: 0.7mm

    Telecentric Zoom Lenses

    mlz-07545dhr

Moritex’s MML Zoom Lens Series are high performance lenses with integrated coaxial episcopic illumination designed based on telecentric optics. Multiple zooming, long working distance, and the integrated episcopic illumination sytstem that covers the entire view allow for recognition of all types of objects. Manual systems and electric zoom type systems with a stepping motor are available.

    ML-Z01515DM
The ML-Z01515DM is a high resolution low magnification telecentric zoom lens. It has a magnification range of 0.15X to 1.5X. Other features include:

    A zoom ratio of 10:1

    A working distance of 219mm

An integrated coaxial episcopic illumination system that covers the entire field of view

    ML-Z0220D & ML-Z0220DM
Moritex offers two high resolution telecentric zoom lenses with a low magnification range of 0.2X to 2X. The ML-Z0220D is a manual type zoom lens and the ML-Z0220DM is an electric motorized tpye zoom lens. The two lenses’ additional features include:

    A 10:1 zoom ratio

    A working distance of 173mm

A integrated coaxial episcopic illumination system that covers the entire field of view

A special attached light made up of a super random fiber bundled light guide with a length of 800mm and red & green color filters.

    ML-Z07545 Series
The ML-Z07545 Series are functional standard zoom lenses. Their telecentric design give you very good resolution over the magnification range of 0.75X to 4.5X. Additional features include:

    A zoom ratio of 6:1

    90mm working distance

An integrated coaxial episcopic illumination system that covers the entire field of view

A mounted focus adjustment function that can reduce the working distance by -6mm.
Optional adapter lenses can be used to change the magnification range and working distance for these lenses as well.

There are four types of zoom lenses in this series. The ML-Z07545 is simply a manual zoom lens and the ML-Z07545D adds coaxial episcopic lighting. The ML-Z07545D-PL and the ML-Z07545DM also include coaxial episcopic lighthing, but the ML-Z07545D-PL has an added polarizing function and the ML-Z07545DM is a motor zoom lens.

    ML-Z0315D
The ML-Z0315D is a manual click zoom lens that has five zoom click positions from 0.3X to 1.5X (0.3x, 0.6X, 0.8X, 1.2X, & 1.5X) which equates to a 5:1 zoom ratio. The working distance of this zoom lens is 151.2mm and it includes an integrated coaxial episcopic illumination system that covers the entire field of view. The manual click system allows for +/- 0.5% magnification repeatability.
